We offer opportunities for extended learning beyond the core Academy day. Our extended provision through our Hub team is at the centre of our community work. The team deliver a wide range of services which engage public, voluntary and business sectors in the establishment of a centre of education and lifelong learning. We aspire for the Academy to be at the heart of our local community, recognised by others for our clear understanding and support of local issues and awareness of community needs.

At Oasis we recognise that people are not two-dimensional beings; we are each a whole person with a broad range of aspirations and needs and these needs are interconnected. To truly help someone with their educational needs, it is vital to also be aware of their emotional needs, spiritual needs and economic needs.

As such, we believe in communities that are holistic, interconnected and totally inclusive. We call our model for these communities ‘Hub.’ Watch the video above to learn more about our vision for hub.

Currently at Oasis Academy Foundry we are offering the following services:

	Foundry
Monday	12 -1pm Little Hands Art Club for Nursery children and their parents (Foundry Community Hub) 3.15-4.30 Youth Club (at Boulton House)
Tuesday	9am – 11.30 Stay and Play (Foundry Community Hub)
Thursday	9am – 10am ESOL  with Crèche facilities   10 – 11.30 Drop In (Foundry Community Hub)
	3.30 -4.30 After school club (Please enquire at the at main office)

 

A note from our Hub Leader

Welcome the Boulton and Foundry Community Hub! I am Nicky and I'm the Hub Leader.  Chrissi and Andy are also part of our Hub team.

We are involved in a number of different activities across both the Academies and in the community.  We want everyone to feel included, to be welcomed and for us to do all we are able to empower people and their families to live their best life.

• We hold Drop Ins on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday mornings between 9.30 and 11.30 to assist with issues surrounding Benefits, Housing and School Placement. 
• We have a range of clubs we offer to children across the two academies. We hold lunch times clubs at Foundry Academy, an After School Club at Boulton and an After School Club in the community.
• We hold a monthly Coffee Morning for parents straight after the morning drop. This is a good time for us to meet with parents and get to know you.
• We hold one off events throughout the year including Active Streets street closures for games and fun and seasonal events at Christmas and Easter.
